Yes, another rejection:

Thank you for sending us "The Furnace". We gave it careful consideration but unfortunately have decided it is not right for our magazine. Best of luck placing this piece elsewhere.

This is good because it means I am doing the work. Work, work, work. If you want your art to get anywhere you have to be willing to work harder than the next guy. Do the work.

When your goal is rejection, is acceptance failure? Hello no! I submitted a piece to the Poet's Pause Poetry Competition on the Togetherness theme, and I won! Yes, I am a prize winning poet. And, although my goal is still rejection, I will accept this acceptance and do my happy dance, because, yeah, it feels good. Still, the whole point is, you have to do the work. Write, revise, submit, track, repeat. Do the work.
